Francis (Frank) O’Farrell hails from Athlone, Co. Westmeath, Ireland, one of six siblings and the son of Captain Sean O’Farrell who, while stationed at Victoria Barracks on the banks of the Shannon, met his wife Ann O’Brien of Atteagh. They subsequently moved to Dublin to run the family woolen mills, The Crock of Gold, which had been run by the famous author, filmmaker and grand uncle to Frank O’Farrell, Michael Farrell. Yes, two different family names, a sweeping romantic saga unto itself and told through Michael’s best selling novel, "They Tears Might Cease". Frank has three sons of his own two of whom - at time of writing - are on opposite U.S. coasts. Frank’s middle son Aidan is the inspiration behind Fourthwall and sadly passed away in 2023 at the age of 25 from a drug overdose. In addition to his personal lived experience Frank brings a lifetime of professional creative practice to Fourthwall and continually strives to create positive change.
